Making an analogue synth

This post isn’t strictly related to Do It Kits but we wanted to share anyway. Because it’s cool. Helen from Do It Kits recently went to an analogue synth workshop run by Pheonix Perry. In the workshop, we learned about some of the techniques video game pioneers used to create sound by building our own 8-bit analogue synths. We experimented with resistors, capacitors and a Schmitt trigger to make a load of weird noises. Here’s the basic set up… head to Helen’s Twitter post to see what it sounded like!
