The Make Your Own Weather Stations Do It Kit is now available to order! Each kit includes three weather stations so you can monitor the conditions of indoors, outdoors, corridors or anywhere else you want!
With the Make Your Own Weather Stations Do It Kit, your class will learn how to predict the future by making a weather station that measures humidity, temperature, barometric pressure, altitude and light using a Genuino and a set of sensors. Your students will explore real world climate science, research weather systems, design a hyper-local weather investigation and learn about sensors, data visualisation and the practical applications of micro computing.
The Make Your Own Weather Stations Do It Kit includes over three hours of lesson plans with worksheets, diagrams, teacher notes and curriculum links. Our teaching resources are written by a team of scientists, geographers and award-winning educational authors.
In addition to the core lesson plans, the Make Your Own Weather Stations Do It Kit includes ideas for complementary lessons in GCSE Computing and KS3 or GCSE Science classes. The code is pre-loaded onto the board so you can simply plug and play, or can get your class using their coding skills to add things and make changes in the Arduino IDE.
